He hit seniors Casey Rouch and Philip Elking for scores, while sophomore Alex Minnillo set up another touchdown with a long reception. The offensive line of seniors Brendon Ballard and Shawn Rine, juniors Eric Bretz and Clay Teach, and sophomore Dan Satterthwaite had a great night, helping the 'Cats put up more than 400 yards in total offense.
The defense, led by seniors Ezra Ruiz and Russ Cheney, held the Irish to less than 200 yards of offense and forced four turnovers. In addition to a fumble recovery, the Bobcats picked off three Fisher Catholic passes. Freshman Oliver Rouch had two interceptions, while Alex Minnillo added one on a tremendous play near the Grandview sideline. Clay Teach put pressure on the Irish passing game all night, forcing quick throws and posting two sacks.
The younger players added greatly to the offensive effort. In addition to Alex Minnillo's catch, Oliver Rouch ran for 36 yards and a touchdown in 6 tries. Freshman Jason Franks added a 34-yard run for the Bobcats' final touchdown of the night.
Saturday's game was the final appearance for Grandview's ten seniors - Brendon Ballard, Russ Cheney, Philip Elking, Dylan Evans, Jared Goodykoontz, Garrison Graves, Shawn Rine, Casey Rouch, Ezra Ruiz, and Jeff Shively.
