Centennial Game
Grandview Heights 14, Centennial 6

JV squad tops Centennial on Saturday
The JV Bobcats traveled to Centennial on Saturday, September 28th and came away with a 14-6 win. After the Stars took the lead on a long drive, the 'Cats came back, scoring before the half on a 12-yard pass from Fred Lane to Jack Minnillo. The 2-point try was no good and after two quarters of play, it was tied at 6. In the second half, the defense continued to play well for the Bobcats with linebackers Zach Jump and Sam Mehling supplying the big hits. Late in the fourth quarter, Grandview was able to stop Centennnial after the Stars had the ball first and goal at the Bobcats' 6-yard-line. The 'Cats took over on downs at the 10-yard-line and with 2:06 showing on the clock, Lane hit Minnillo on the slant. The freshman then outran the defense for the 90-yard go-ahead touchdown. Zach Jump ran it in for the 2-point conversion and the JV Bobcats came away with their first win of the season.
