Harvest Prep Game
Grandview Heights 30, Harvest Prep 0

JV squad downs Harvest Prep
The JV Bobcats (4-2) traveled to Harvest Prep on Saturday morning and came away with a 30-0 win over the Warriors. Neither team was able to score in the first quarter in a battle for field position. In the second quarter, after a Harvest Prep punt, the 'Cats drove the ball for a touchdown with quarterback Fred Lane connecting with wide receiver Jack Minnillo on a 26-yard pass to cap the drive. Tailback Cam Wallace then ran it in for the two-point conversion and the 'Cats took an 8-0 lead. Later in the quarter, linebacker Anthony Dorsey intercepted a Warriors' pass, his second of the season, and set up the offense deep in Harvest Prep territory. Two plays later, Fred Lane hit wide receiver David Murray from 22 yards out for the score. The conversion attempt failed and it was Grandview ahead 14-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Bobcats scored quickly as Zach Jump took the opening kickoff and raced down the right sideline for an 84-yard touchdown return. Fred Lane rushed it into the end zone for the two-point play and the lead was 22-0. The final Grandview touchdown came when Lane hit David Murray on a slant from the 8-yard line. Jarrad Tittel added the two-point conversion on a sweep around the right end for the 30-0 lead.

In pitching a shutout, the JV defense played well throughout the contest. Defensive end Taylor Wilcox had 5 tackles for loss in the game, while Grant Westover, Chris Barte, and Axel Elkin all had a good number of solo tackles to keep Harvest Prep off the scoreboard. Cornerbacks Jarrad Tittel and Marcus Styer did a great job in containing the Warriors' outside running game. The JV team will return home next Saturday for a game against Liberty Union's junior varsity. The game, which begins at 10:00 a.m. at Bobcat Stadium, will be broadcast on the Internet with the pre-game show set for 9:45 a.m.
