Liberty Union 40, Grandview Heights 18

JV squad falls to Liberty Union
The JV Bobcats (4-3) hosted the Liberty Union junior varsity team on Saturday morning and lost to the undefeated Lions 40-18. Grandview scored three touchdowns, all on big plays. In the second quarter, fullback Zach Jump ran it into the end zone from the 33-yard line. Later in the period, quarterback Fred Lane connected with wide receiver David Murray for a 65-yard scoring strike. The 'Cats final touchdown came on a 73-yard scoring run by tailback Cam Wallace. Zach Jump ended the day with 84 yards in 10 carries, while Cam Wallace gained 65 yards in 12 tries. Fred Lane completed nine passes for 142 yards. David Murray was the leading receiver with 5 catches for 120 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, Zach Jump, Sam Mehling, Jesse Hickman, and Grant Westover led the team in tackles. The JV 'Cats play next Saturday morning at Newark Catholic with the kickoff slated for 10:00 a.m.
